By the Board, as Board members are elected by all Association members at the Annual Meeting to represent them. Any non-board Association member, who has been a member for two years, applies for key holder responsibility will be considered. Click here to access the Application

A key holder must:

  1.  Be a lake resident for minimum 2 years;

  2. Be a current paying member;

  3. Sign an agreement to abide by lake access guidelines; (click here for the agreement)
  4. Be reasonably available from March 1 through November 30.

Please note that neither a non-member of the Association nor an owner of a home that is rented for periods of less than 1 year is eligible to be a key holder.

Key holders will be available during reasonable hours.  Please work with any key holder to arrange a mutually agreeable time to unlock the gate.

Emergency service is available on a 24/7 basis by calling 911, and the Kent County Sheriff will have a key to access the gate.

Call 911. The Sheriff will have a key. Then call any key holder to access the lake. We live in a caring lake community and your neighbors will help. This is consistent to how this would have been handled with the combination lock.

So the boat owner and Association member both sign to affirm that the boat coming onto the lake has been out of the water for at least 7 days, if the boat has been on any other lake.

Yes, if the storage company affirms that the boat has been out of the water for 7 days or longer. The member must advise the key holder in advance and provide the key holder’s contact information to the storage company to arrange a mutually agreeable time to provide access.

A family member may launch either your boat or the family member’s boat if pre-arranged with a key holder.  The key holder will need the name and relationship of your family member and that family member will need to show identification. The Association member must also follow up with the key holder with an email or a note confirming that the boat has been dry for at least 7 days.  A guest may bring a boat on the water, but you must be at the gate to sign and both you and the guest must confirm that the boat has been dry for at least 7 days.

Yes. Any person, whether or not living on the lake, can fish on the lake by carrying in a fishing boat, kayak, canoe or other boat that can be brought through the walk through area.
