The Big Brower Lake Improvement Association is a long-standing non-profit organization that uses annual dues exclusively for the betterment of Big Brower Lake and its residents. Without the support of dues, we would be unable to offer events such as the Fourth of July fireworks that have become enjoyable traditions for family and friends. In addition to that major use of our dues, the Board organizes, prepares for, and undertakes an array of activities and services, such as the following:
• Fourth of July Fun Run with optional t-shirt purchase
• Fourth of July flare sales for evening display
• Fourth of July Boat Parade
• Large refuse pick-up and delivery to the Township drop-off point every Spring for lake residents.
• Quarterly newsletters with up-to-date lake news and information
• Immediate notification to BBLIA members important information concerning the Big Brower Lake community
• Community phone directory
• Facebook page (facebook.com/bigbrowerlake/)
• BBLIA Website
• Research and support of the costs of stocking our lake with fish
• Weed control oversight
• Welcome information packets and gift for new residents
• Boat landing and gate maintenance
• Facilitation of lake access through the gate
• Liability and insurance of boat launch area and gate
• Maintenance including insurance, utilities and continued beautification of the Association lot and pavilion
• Provide for event parking at Community Lot for a nominal fee
• Assign each Big Brower Lake community household a Board representative
• Access to a variety of Big Brower Lake logo-imprinted items, such as mugs, hats, shirts, and jackets
• Annual LARA licensing and regulatory filing fee
This represents the current BBLIA board activities and services, but we continue to evolve to meet the needs of our lake community.
Through Association memberships and the generosity of our lake resident volunteers past and present, we are able to provide these many services and benefits. We thank all of the members who have given their support both in time and money throughout the years, and we ask new residents and long-term residents who have chosen not to join the Association to consider this year to be the one to become a member! Together, we can keep our wonderful lake community a happy, healthy, fun place to live!
